“Youthful memories and living the dream.” The glory days of Victor Wolfe
A perfect Summer, Bedford J-Type, blue jeans, white T-Shirts, motorcycles, beer and Marlboro cigarettes.
To look at this picture now, the J-type in all it's time lost state it is humbling to think that this was once a living automobile integral to the lives of a select few individuals, truest friends heavily embroiled in the carefree embrace of youth and lust for all that is exciting and dangerous. You wouldn't find a copy of the Daily Sport on this dash, more like the Exchange & Mart or the latest trophy scavenged from the local scrap yard. These were the days when helicopter engines and ship pistons were common place at the yards. Unbolting stainless nuts from aircraft remains was a popular pastime for aftermarket motorcycle parts. We were fond of good coffee, good beer, motorcycles, and anything mechanical. These were the glory days of Victor Wolfe, days when Cornwall was still untouched by the hand of greed, a lawless perfect land to be free in.
"Victor Wolfe" The Edwardian slipper launch replica was built in those perfect times in a little shed down a quiet country lane in North Cornwall.
The stench of corporate England was in the air, wafting over the helpless hills, it's not far off, time to change: Southern France!
